Dr. Viswanath's Profile

Dr.Deepak Viswanath is a renowned and well-respected Pediatric Dentist who currently serves as the Professor And Head of the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry at the R.K.D.F Dental College and Research Centre, Bhopal, INDIA, where he also serves as Director, Postgraduate Studies & Research, in the same Institute. He completed his Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery (BDS) from the Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College and Hospital, Bengaluru, INDIA and went on to pursue his Master’s in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry from A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru, INDIA.

Dr.Viswanath has extensive experience in the field of Pediatric Dentistry with over 25 years of Teaching and Clinical practice. He has been a Life time member of Indian Dental Association and Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. He has published more than hundred research papers in national and international journals.

Dr. Viswanath has presented his research at several conferences and seminars, both specialty conferences and IDA conferences. His newer research interests include Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry, Digital Health in Dentistry, Dental Fear and Anxiety, and Pediatric Medicine aspects applied to Dentistry.

Apart from his academic and research contributions, Dr. Viswanath is a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has trained numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students in Pediatric Dentistry and has been instrumental in developing innovations that can be used by the pediatric and general dentists in effectively managing the children’s’ behavior in dental operatory.

Dr. Viswanath to his credit has filed 2 patents, more than 20 copyrights, and a Trade mark exclusively registered in his name.

Dr. Viswanath is the Elected Board Member of Armenian Association of Digital Health (2023-2028).

Further, Dr. Viswanath has completed his Doctoral Studies in Pediatric Dentistry from People’s College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Bhopal (People’s University, Bhopal).
